My personal mission is to lead a spiritually fulfilling life centered in integrity, service to others, personal excellence, and continual growth/learning. Remembering always to strive for my highest mental, physical and spiritual health, in order to be present, clear, and awake to divinity- in myself, those whom I cherish most, and those who are just passing through. To that end, I will work toward turning my all too human weaknesses into strength, that I may be a courageous example of a life well lived. What I love about this, right now, is that it really reflects where my life is going. I don't read it every day (in fact, I'm usually surprised by what I wrote by the time I come across it), but I can honestly say that I am embodying this mission that I wrote so long ago (okay, maybe not the divinity part…). The point is that the very act of writing it down and putting it out there has a cosmic effect on our actions and what comes into our lives. I look at this today and I am grateful and excited to know that it's time to write a new one. Something bigger, that incorporates what I've accomplished and how much wider the lens is that I see my life through today. Do you have a mission statement, or personal intention that guides you? If you do, have you looked at it recently? How is your life lining up with your values? I would love to hear about it! Post, twittified: Live from your deepest values. Having a personal mission statements is a powerful intention to do just that. Write one and see what happens.
A mission statement is a powerful statement of intent. It should communicate the essence, or guiding purpose, of who you (or your business) are and what you are all about. I’ve been looking through my posts from Everyday Yogini and I came across the mission statement I wrote for myself right before Clara was born:
