A well-timed quote dropped into my virtual lap

by Nona on November 9, 2009

width="300"All is in order, and I’m ready for this week. I wasn’t going to post today, as I’m in the throes of final preparation for the More Happy Less Stress telecourse, which is beginning this afternoon (there are still some spots left if you would like to join a lovely group of women).

However, I simply had to share this quote that found it’s way to me this morning.

“There is more wisdom in your body than your deepest philosophy.”
-Frederick Nietzsche

As someone who believes deeply in the wisdom of the body-mind, this quote made me nod to myself. As someone who has been getting ready for a surgical procedure by talking with my body and visualizing a positive healing outcome, this small sentence felt like comfort in a cup. My body needs nothing from my mind (except support) – my body knows exactly how to heal.

Over the next days, my intention is to breathe deeply and listen closely to the wisdom of my body. To rest. To allow my body the time and space to mend completely. To trust that Clara is well-cared for and okay without me – she will be so happy to have me return healed and rested.

My blessings to you this week, and I look forward to sharing a positive outcome with you next time.

Love & Light,

Oooh, I love this quote!

I have been having a very embodiment-rich summer — like things are moving out of my head (the intellectual) and into my body. I am feeling so grateful for the rich feelings of connectedness and spontaneity it has brought into my life!

Stacy – I love your description of how “moving in” to your body has brought so much into your life. It makes me want to shout out a big, “YES!”

Love & Light,
Nona
