Through business school and working in Corporate Finance to becoming a licensed CPA, Yoga and meditation were my touchstone, the practices that kept me grounded. Though I was good at my work as an accountant, it wasn’t ever comfortable. I worked with people who were obviously in their groove and loved accounting. I wanted that- to feel like I was doing what I was meant to be doing!
After 8 years in the corporate world and 10 years of practicing Yoga and meditation, I decided to take some action in a new, more authentic direction for myself – becoming a Yoga instructor. I began pursuing Yoga teacher certification, and, at the same time, met and married my fabulous husband. After being the child of a military member, I then married one! In our time together we have moved 6 times in 7 years, and, we became parents in between all of those moves.
Through each transition, my appreciation for Yoga and meditation deepened and I learned more about how to bridge the gap between everyday life and a grounding in greater meaning and purpose. I discovered that the more connected we are to our unchangeable core self, the more capacity we have for deep down joy, which leads us to make excellent decisions. From this place of power, we can find what we truly want for our lives, and what our purpose is (our personal superpower, as I like to call it). Very naturally, this all led straight to life coach training with Martha Beck.
Not to toot my own horn, but I was born to coach. I love to coach and mentor others. When people have their “aha” moment, find the well of joy, meet the goal, or discover the wisdom that is all theirs – it’s amazing. Not only for them, but also for me.
I believe everyone has the capacity to feel engaged, fully alive, and free of suffering (if not insanely happy) – no matter what.
From making career and life choices that line up with deep values, to learning to listen to and care for your body with ruthless compassion… I want you to make fewer detours to your best life, feel connected to something greater than yourself, and feel excited about all your life has in store for you. The ingredients for happiness exist in each and every moment- let’s find your recipe!
When I’m not coaching, you can find me with my family or friends. On the playground with my daughter or eating a delicious meal, we are enjoying life, currently in Rome, Italy. You might also find me cooking, shopping the markets, or, of course, practicing Yoga and meditation. I also have a small fetish for cupcakes and coffee, but I’m also a complete nut for organic, local foods and living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Ahh, the joy of paradox!
