Gratitude 10.23.2009

Window_DavidMastersWe are on our way to Austria. Clara will go to her halloween party at school and we will pick her up and head North, late morning. This last week, I’ve been running across all sorts of awesome blogs that exude gratitude and happiness. I thought you all might like to enjoy the gratitude-fest on the web as well…

Love Life*Be You is the wonderful world of Jen Trulson, fellow Martha Beck coach. Every Sunday she gives up her Grateful 8. She is also soon to be starting a course for people to explore The Joy Diet by Martha Beck. Which is one of my favorite books, by the way.

I stumbled on Teal Marie’s site quite by accident, but it is aptly named the daily gratitude blog. I felt an instant kinship with her because she is a Kripalu yoga instructor. And she obviously loves her gratitude practice. And because the quote she had by Marcus Aurelius just rocks! Here it is:

“The first rule is to keep an untroubled spirit. The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are.”

I really, really love that.

Third, I’m certain my list would be incomplete without Dani of Positively Present. Her whole blog is really a big old hug o’ happy, but she does have her happy lists, which are simply charming. Also my friend Nadine shares her own happy list most weeks. She finds the best pictures for her posts. I don’t know how she does it!!

Those are some of my top gratitude bloggers. I also always love to see updates from the site of Br. David Steindl-Rast. The mission of their network is “dedicated to providing education and support for the practice of grateful living as a global ethic”.

Do you have any favorite sources of happiness and gratitude on the net? Please share… and, have a lovely weekend.
